I believe in "Quality before Quantity."

The Tattoos you see in my portfolio's are on average 2 to 3 hours or less. I seldom do an outline and have anyone return to finish. Most are finished the first sitting.  If you have to return a second sitting you have an exceptionally large tattoo.

I have received several awards over the years, for my tattoo works. I generally don't brag, or make light of the award thing. I just think it's worth a mention. I've been refining this trade since the early 80's. I've seen the best and the worst of this industry, it has changed greatly over the years. I had a long running tattoo shop in northern Michigan, People came from all across the state, to get a tattoo from me. I can remember my parking lot was always full and people were waiting, sometimes all day. In the begining, I worked around the clock, seven days a week. Those days are long past, now everybody and there mother has opened a tattoo shop in every town across America. No need to travel just check out your local yellow pages, there's a tattoo shop near you. I must warn you though, the quality tattoo shops are few and far between. If you care about quality, then stop at the nearest local tattoo shop, and check it out.  Make sure they have a portfolio. look closely at there tattoos. A rule of thumb is, if it looks like shit, and it smells like shit, then it is shit. Common since should make you an expert. Unfortunatley the general public is sold on the idea that cheaper is somehow better. They seem to overlook the fact that a tattoo is with you for life, unlike the $150.00 designer jeans, or the $200.00 shoes you just can't live without. Or whatever you justify spending your hard earned cash on.
Ask yourself   will  I still have it when I'm on my death bed?  I've told my customers that complain about the price, If you think I'm  too expensive, wait 10 years or how ever long your life may be, and divide the days you've had your tattoo, into the price of your tattoo, then tell me if it's worth it. Is it to expensive now? What is a long lasting mark for life worth? Those designer jeans and those spendy shoes will long be wore out by then.  Remember your not shopping for that throw away shit at Walmart. I ask them if you needed brain surgery, and your choice of doctors are only two, one charges $1,000.00 with little or no success, the other charges $10,000.00 but guarantees success. I ask you which one do you want to crack open your skull?
